Theo Van Doesburg is photographed in Aubette in Strasbourg, France. Built by Jacques-François Blondel in 1765-72, the building is redecorated as a cinema-dance hall by Sophie Taeuber-Arp, Jean Arp and De Stijl artist Theo van Doesburg. Aubette has then been called “the Sistine Chapel of abstract art”.
